VOTE on how $$ gets spent in our City Council District

Since we live in the City Council District of Melissa Mark Viverito, we have the right to VOTE for how $1 Million gets spent in this district.   So VOTE:

  • Sunday March 25 from 12-6 pm
  • at the Youth Hostel, 103rd & Amsterdam Avenue

One Million dollars will be allocated among 5 projects.

Thirty Projects have been nominated in our City Council District 8.
See www.pbnyc.org for the list -- or just go to the polls and decide

The choice among all these worthwhile projects is yours.

Neighborhood groups and individuals including the Park West Community Network have been working together since October in this "participatory budgeting" project to determine needs and opportunities.

Council member Melissa Mark-Viverito is one of four City Council reps (and the only one in Manhattan) who has taken this community-building initiative.

You can help encourage it by voting.

All residents age 18 and over are eligible to vote.  Please bring proof of residence and age.

THANKS!

P.S.  and if you can't vote Sunday, Melissa's office at 105 East 116th St will be open for voting March 27-30, 10 am to 5 pm.   All residents of her City Council District (that includes 50 West 97th St.!) are welcome.
