"MCI RETRO" on your rent bill
When Stellar filed the first MCI, it asked for money for the elevators, submetering, and building facade repair. We got submetering and building facade repairs knocked out - and began paying the remaining amount of the MCI - just for the elevators.

Gov. Cuomo's State of the State Speech 2013
It's great that Governor Andrew Cuomo included affordable housing in his State of the State speech on January 2, 2013. He is proposing building or preserving 14,000 affordable units - although his speech notes a shortage of 356,000 units just in the downstate area alone. He supports the 44 buildings left in the Mitchell-Lama program. (Wouldn't it be great if there could be a new one!)
He also praises the underfunded "Tenant Protection Unit" at (D)HCR, which agency has yet to promulgate serious regulations to implement the changes tenants won in June 2011.
