NO RENT BILLS YET

Stellar did not send our rent bills by Oct. 29th when the storm hit, and the bills still had not arrived by Sunday, November 4, 2012.  You have a choice:

PAY NOW
Add your base rent, the electric bill (from 3 weeks ago), and the garage space if you pay for one.  Put the total in a check.

• Send the check to P.O. Box 215, Laurel, NY 11948  OR
• Walk the check to Stellar's office - either at 70 W. 93rd St., or at 158 William St.

or WAIT UNTIL YOU GET THE RENT BILL, and then pay as usual. 

Successful Fundraiser

In just a few hours on October 31, 2012, our tenant association collected $3,590 at the Trick or Treat table in the lobby.  

Thanks to Rosa Delgado, Joan Browne, and Debbie Gonzalez for the work of setting it up, getting the candy (with the help of Paul Fisher and a few board members), providing music, lovely decorations, and inviting neighbors

to donate.

If you haven't yet paid your 2012 tenant association dues ($10 per year for each apartment) or contributed to our legal fund ($100 per year per apartment), please give what you can to 

• Treasurer Joan Browne in Apt. 12F, or
• your floor captain, or
• any other member of the Executive Committee:

Sue Susman, Na'ava Ades, Rich Jordan, Steve Koulish or Greg Murray.

Trick or Treat for the Tenants' Association TODAY

We made it through Hurricane Sandy.  Fortunately, our building was unscathed - although many others are suffering through no electricity, gas or heat.  

Volunteers needed for 

• the overnight shelter at Brandeis HS at West 84th Street between Amsterdam and Columbus Avenues. for  tonight (after 8:00 PM). 
• Medical and mental health trained volunteers at IS 118 - West 93rd Street between Amsterdam and Columbus Avenues. at all times and for the same and other volunteers for overnight tonight and tomorrow night.

Meanwhile, back in our building, today, Wednesday, Oct. 31, 2012 : 

• Toddlers and their parents are welcome to join a play date in the Community Room. 

• All the adults are invited to "Trick or Treat for the Tenants' Association"

Last Day to Register to Vote!

Friday, Oct. 12th is a critical deadline for both the 2012 Election AND for 2013

This is the last day you can register to vote in the 2012 Election.

It is also your last chance to CHANGE YOUR PARTY AFFILIATION in order to be able to
vote in the citywide primary in 2013.

Why is this important?

Because for races like City Council, Borough President, Public Advocate, City Comptroller and, yes, even Mayor of New York City, there will be hard-fought primary campaigns. For most and maybe all of them, the winner of the primary will also win the general election in November. You must be a registered with a party in order to participate in that party's primary election. New York State election law says you cannot change your enrollment and vote in the new party primary of your choice in the same year – so if you’re going to switch party enrollment, you need to do so by Friday!
